really?
old people (more often men, sadly) have really interesting things to say about present day society. an elderly man told me once: "i envy you kids today not for your love of music or your suggestive clothing, but for your intelligence". thought that was really cool. outside look in. even though i know what he thought but would not say was: "too bad its a waste".

putting the first line in quotations would be better
